Phosprint is a laser bioprinter developer focusing on the highly precise and rapid delivery of cells and other bio-inks on the substrates of interest for tissue regeneration and biosensor applications. Currently we are seeking a part-time Software Engineer to join our R&D team on a fixed-term project, developing advanced software solutions for an upcoming 3D laser bioprinting system. The role is project-based, with employment lasting for the duration of the development cycle. This position requires regular on-site attendance (hybrid) at the Lefkippos Technology Park - Phosprint office to enable close collaboration with the engineering team and hands-on testing of bioprinting equipment.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and test software modules for device control, integrating both software and
hardware components.
• Develop graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for bioprinting applications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate technical requirements into
efficient, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Debugging and system-level testing to ensure software quality and performance.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
field.
• Proven experience in software development for technical or engineering applications.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Solid knowledge of Linux environments.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Flexibility to work across a range of technologies, including optics, motorized hardware, and
microcontrollers/microcomputers, to deliver integrated software solutions.
• Excellent command of English (written, spoken, and technical terminology).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a dynamic R&D environment.
Desired Qualifications
• Familiarity with image processing algorithms (e.g., OpenCV or similar libraries).
• Experience developing software for instrumentation or scientific equipment will be
considered an asset.
